Some Total Control devices use URC's proprietary URC 2.4GHz RF to communicate to the Master System Controller (MSC). Currently, the only MRX unit that has a built-in URC 2.4GHz RF transceiver is the MRX-10. This means the use of a TRF-UZ1 external RF transceiver may not be required. If using a different base station with any of the URC RF products including but not limited to:
- TRC-780
- THZ-100 (URC Thermostat)
- MRX-4SEN (Sensor port expander)
The TRF-UZ1 is required when using any of the following master system controllers and the above listed URC RF devices:
- MRX-20
- MRX-8
- CP-1
- CP-2
