Basic Questions
- How many Sonos units can I put into a system?
While testing the Sonos module in Product Development, Engineers were able to add 8 Sonos units into one program. It is possible to add more. However a definite number can not be given as it was not tested.
- What kind of Sonos devices can I use in Total Control?
The following Sonos devices can be used with with the Sonos module, Play 1, Play 3, Play 5, Connect, Connect Amp and the Play Bar.
- Can I control the Sonos units as a standalone device in Total Control?
Yes, many commands and functionality are available when controlling Sonos as a standalone device.
- What functions are unavailable on the Sonos unit from Total Control?
Total Control does not support grouping devices (party mode). It also does not support multiple accounts. For example you can not put in to Pandora accounts and control them individually.
- Will the system work if the Sonos is Wi-Fi (bridge mode)?
Yes.
